I know it's not for everyone, but I eat this and other NorthStar products raw. If I know I'll be eating them soon after they arrive I'll order fresh, but I order mostly frozen for storage purposes. If something is not fresh or hasn't been frozen fresh, I can tell right away because there's an off taste. I've ordered from multiple online meat sellers and have found NS to have the best selection and quality of 100% grassfed offal cuts. I have always 'liked' liver (which I pan fry), but bison liver is tastier and more flavorful than any other I've had in the past. Even if you don't usually care for liver but want to eat it for its health benefits, you may really like this.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Anyone who claims to dislike liver, needs to try this product! It has a superior flavor to beef--or even calves liver (which used to be my favorite). It takes almost no preparation (I saute it in olive oil, adding a little vinegar as it cooks). I usually prepare it for dinner, along with a vegetable, but I've had it for breakfast, cubed and mixed with scrambled eggs.Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Excellent Source of Bioavailable Iron
I have severe anemia and the supplements I have tried are difficult to absorb. The best form of Bioavailable Iron and B vitamins is liver. However, liver is often contaminated and not suitable for human consumption. I love this pure, clean source of bison liver from animals who have been fed naturally on Prairie Grasses. If you can tolerate the taste of liver, this clean, naturally raised bison liver is one of the healthiest foods on the planet. best liver around...period!
me and my wife eat liver once a week, we normally get different types of liver to have a range of nutrion. we have tried chicken, duck, lamb, calf, cow, and bison. by far the bison was the best. it didn't even taste like liver. beef liver taste like liver which i don't mind but some people hate it and wont eat is because of the liver taste. the bison almost taste like steak, i usally cook it in organic pastured lard from a local farmer, which adds more vitamin d to balance out the vitamin a. and makes it taste great.
